Our founder Dave started building websites in the late '90s — self-taught in HTML, then CSS, then Photoshop, then SEO, then paid media. Whatever the channel required. By the mid-2000s he was running digital marketing campaigns across search, email, display, and social.
He founded Atrix Digital in 2012. For the first several years, it looked like every other small agency: custom projects, a handful of retainer clients. The work was good. The clients stayed.
But the same question kept coming up.
Clients would ask, “Is this working?” And we'd show them the dashboard. Traffic was up. Impressions looked good. But when they asked the real question — “Should I keep spending money on this?” — the dashboard didn't have an answer. Not a clear one.
The problem wasn't the marketing. It was the reporting. Business owners were drowning in data and starving for answers.
